“Critical assessment of a digital collection of cultural material”

The fourth Blended Mobility of School Learners was held from 9 to 13 October 2017, on the island of Rhodes, Greece . Our host was  the 1st Lyceum of Rhodes -  Venetokleion. The theme of the mobility was “Critical assessment of a digital collection of cultural material”

The 4th Blended Mobility of School Learners, held on the island of Rhodes, Greece, from 9 to 13 October 2017, was hosted by Venetokleio -  1st Lyceum of Rhodes. During the meeting, students had the opportunity to attend lectures and workshops on the educational use of applications such as Google maps, Padlet and ThingLink. Divided in multinational teams, students worked collaboratively to prepare a thematic Google Map presenting the main historical monuments of the City of Rhodes and participating in "A WALK IN THE PAST" contest. The best of these Google maps was decided by e-vote through Google Drive on the last day. The winner was "Diagoras" team map. The educational agenda also incIuded visits to the main historical sites of the island, where students explored local history through studying and recording with mobile devices the monuments of the successive historical phases of the island, from Ancient times to the Italian Period. Digital material collected was used for the creation of their Google Maps.
